Eat Pretty Please is a Culinary Nutrition Academy helping children, adults and families understand food, recognize their nutritional needs, and build the skills to cook confidently for real life.
Learn to cook for the humans you love, starting with you.

Our philosophy
We don't teach diets. We teach understanding.
Because when you understand ingredients, cooking, your body, and the environment around food, nourishment stops feeling complicated. It becomes empowering, enjoyable, and sustainable.
“Cooking is a superpower.”

Meet Monica

Hi! I'm Monica.
I graduated from International Culinary Arts completely in love with cooking. I loved creating unexpected dishes, bringing people together, and watching someone's face light up after the first bite.
Back then, nutrition wasn't really part of the equation.
Food was joy.
Food was connection.
Food was an experience.
Years later, during one of the hardest seasons of my own life, I began looking at food differently.
I started paying attention to how what I ate seemed to affect how I felt — my energy, mood, skin and overall sense of wellbeing.
The difference I experienced made me want to understand why.
And as a mother, naturally, I wanted to share everything I was learning with my children.
There was just one problem.
They wanted absolutely nothing to do with my new “healthy” food.
So I stopped trying to convince them.
Instead, I started speaking their language.
“Healthy drinks” became Pretty Cocktails.
Colorful produce became Rainbow Food.
Trying something new became an experience instead of a rule.
And something started to change.
That curiosity eventually led me deeper into culinary nutrition and the relationship between food, the brain, our environment and the way we feel.
I became fascinated with a bigger question:
“How do we make taking care of ourselves feel joyful rather than restrictive?”
That question became Eat Pretty Please.
Today, I bring together my culinary background, nutrition education and lived experience as a mother to teach children and adults how to understand food, cook for their individual needs, and build skills they can carry throughout life.
Because I don't believe we should have to choose between food that's good for us and food that makes life delicious.
We can have both.

Food as Medicine
Have you or someone you love been diagnosed with a medical condition that requires a more specific way of eating?
When nutritional needs become more complex, EPP offers a deeper level of personalized culinary support in partnership with Dr. Aruna Nammi, MD.
The goal is simple: understand what your body needs, then learn how to make that way of eating work beautifully in real life.
Dr. Aruna Nammi, MD, is a board-certified holistic psychiatrist with training in functional medicine and Ayurveda.
When appropriate, Dr. Aruna can evaluate the clinical picture, review relevant existing labs, determine whether additional testing is appropriate, and provide individualized recommendations within her professional scope.
Then EPP brings those recommendations into the kitchen.
Monica translates the guidance into personalized menus, ingredient choices, recipes and practical cooking strategies designed around your nutritional needs, preferences and everyday life.

Restriction doesn't have to taste restrictive.
A more specific way of eating can feel less like a list of everything you can no longer have and more like an upgrade to five-star dining.
